This article is a testimony of the soul and experience of many years.
It refers to what I’ve encountered when the question “I want to build a professional website” is followed by “how much will it cost”.
My experience
In 99,99% of the cases, the person I have in front of me and asks for a quote to build his professional website (web site, website) has the following characteristics:
- He is ignorant of the Internet, but he is excellent at what he does
- He’s suspicious. He thinks you want to take his money
- He doesn’t know that beyond what he sees, there is a lot he doesn’t see on a website that largely determines the success of his business’s online presence on the Internet.
- He has received offers from others
- He’s got an offer from the cousin
- He only sees what he will spend (invest I’m trying to tell him) and not what he can earn
- He insists that you tell him an “honor” when he has no idea what he wants to present.
What it thinks it is paying and what it will actually pay
He thinks it will pay to put some things together and show him his web site.
Something like the one who molds, pours concrete, plasters and paints on a construction site.
But he forgets that before he reaches this stage, he has no plan, no design, no planning approval, no compliance with regulations and no foundation to build his building. Where “building” is used, see website. If he doesn’t do these, the building site will fall on his head and he will have paid free money.
But he believes that he should only pay the masters and not the engineers.
What I charge a client for their website
Before I even attempt to start a professional website (website, website in fact), there must be a phase where, like Socrates, I extract the truth from it, like Socrates in the Midwifery Method.
What does this mean in practice?
- Who is it?
- What’s he doing?
- How does he do it?
- Who is it for?
- What services or products it offers
- How customers can contact him
- It has a logo
- It has photos for the site
- Has a history of the business
- It has photos and biographies of its collaborators
- He has a list of his clients
And in the course of this method, many questions constantly arise!
All of the above requires time, manpower and experience to transform from something vague to something concrete that can be successfully presented on the Internet.
The charge is not only for the construction of the website
In order to build a proper professional website for a client, I must first become a scholar, researcher, psychologist, accountant, consultant, organizer, advertiser.
And then a web designer and web developer so that I can build him a website that will bring him money and profit.
The final fee includes all the steps, studies and skills before I even start designing the website (website, website).
What you don’t see is more important than what you do see
One of the first things I try to convey to my clients is that what they see as the appearance of the website (webpage, website) is a small part of the real work.
The modern website is like an iceberg.

For the construction of a professional website (website, website) that will bring money, customers and good search engine ranking (SEO), the charge includes the preliminary work, the advice, the creation and organization of the content, the study and finally… the construction of the website (webpage, websiste).

The correct terms are:

Website: the majority of Internet presences. A website consists of many web pages.
