By now most of you will have heard of ChatGPT<\/a> somewhere.<\/p>\n\n

ChatGPT<\/a> is an artificial intelligence (AI) tool with which you can have a chat and it will answer you using Artificial Intelligence (AI).<\/p>\n\n

It is so good that it has alarmed companies and universities, as they are unable to distinguish (so far) whether the texts it produces are the product of human or machine work.<\/p>\n\n

ChatGPT<\/a> is essentially an interface between humans and the GPT-3 artificial intelligence algorithm developed by OpenAI.<\/p>\n\n

In ChatGPT<\/a> via chat, you ask and the algorithm answers. All in dialogue format. <\/p>\n\n

GPT stands for “Generative Pre-trained Transformer”.<\/p>\n\n

GPT-3 contains 175 billion parameters and uses data up to the year 2021 collected from the Internet.<\/p>\n\n

The next version, the upcoming GPT-4, uses 100 trillion parameters. 517 times more. <\/p>\n\n

They are developed by OpenAI<\/a>, a company that has been heavily funded by Microsoft.<\/a><\/p>\n\n

Microsoft<\/a> will use this technology in its own search engine called Bing to compete with the world’s No. 1 search engine today, Google. <\/p>\n\n

Search is the No. 1 source of revenue on the Internet and until now it was almost monopolized by Google. <\/p>\n\n

I’m sure you’ve noticed that for at least the last 2 years, the search results returned by Google<\/a> are not what you’re used to. Most on the home page are for sales of products or services, not answers to what you are looking for. <\/p>\n\n

You probably have to search several pages after the first one to find a useful answer on Google anymore.<\/p>\n\n

Microsoft<\/a> has prepared its response and will change the facts.<\/p>\n\n

Google<\/a> is trying to respond with its own artificial intelligence tool, the Bard<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n
